24/7 Community Patrol, Fire Protection,
and First Responders

Keowee Key maintains a 24 hour seven day a week community patrol that monitors the entire complex on a continuing basis.

Fire protection is provided by the Keowee Fire District located in the community in a newly completed fire house.  It is a full time fire department supplemented by fully trained volunteers. 

Because of the department's capabilities and performance, Keowee Key enjoys an ISO fire protection rating of 4 which means lower fire insurance premiums.

In addition to members of the Fire Department and the Community Patrol, many of our residents are qualified First Responders, so in the event of an emergency, response time is generally less than five minutes.
